Double Fine Unveils Tim Schafer Flash Game

Ever wondered what it’s like being Brutal Legend mastermind Tim Schafer? Thanks to a Flash game created by Schafer’s Double Fine, you can actually be Mr. Schafer as he prepares to host the 2009 Game Developers Choice Awards.
If the plot description wasn’t esoteric enough for you, the game is a strikingly accurate recreation of the classic LucasArts adventure games, specifically the Monkey Island series that first made Schafer famous.
His in-game dialogue isn’t quite as sharp as his writing for those games, but it’s still the most entertaining Flash game based on the perils of hosting a GDC awards show that you’ll play this week.
Plus, so few games ask if you have a soundcard installed these days. You can’t beat that kind of nostalgia.
