Rock Band Unplugged will be available in the US and Europe on June 9, making this the first Rock Band game to be released in both regions during the same six-month period on a Sony system:
There’s no word on a European price yet, but Americans will need to part with $39.99 USD in order to grab the game.
A limited edition PSP package will also be released on June 9 and will include Rock Band Unplugged, a download voucher for School of Rock, a 4GB memory stick and a Piano Black PSP for $199.99 USD.
Rock Band Unplugged will be the first PSP title to have a “fully-featured in-game store,” which will feature several songs such as:
- 3 Doors Down – “Kryptonite”
- AFI – “Miss Murder”
- Alice in Chains – “Would?”
- Audioslave – “Gasoline”
- Black Tide – “Show Me the Way”
- Blink 182 – “What’s My Age Again”
- Freezepop – “Less Talk More Rokk”
- Jackson 5 – “ABC”
- Tenacious D – “Rock Your Socks”
The above music tracks will be made available exclusively for a limited time before being released across the entire Rock Band platform, and yes, your existing PlayStation Network ID will be supported.
The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
March 26th, 2009 by Sean
The first trailer of The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is now announced! It was presented by Iwata at GDC 2009:
Special thanks to my friend Luke who also writes on Modern Classic Gaming for the tip.
Apparently the game will be available later this year for the Nintendo DS, DS Lite and DSi. I so want this game.

First look at Fallout 3′s The Pitt
March 15th, 2009 by Sean
Screenshots can only show so much, which is why I recommend, no, insist watching GameTrailers’ recently released Fallout 3 The Pitt DLC trailer:
As expected, The Pitt presents a dangerous, dirty and rugged atmosphere where steel construction is the norm and scaffolding wraps around buildings like an artificial highway. It’s The Pitt, it’s releasing March 24, 2009.
Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard
March 12th, 2009 by Sean
Every once in awhile a game will come along that reminds you of a video game that you used to play when you were a kid.
Check out this awesome trailer for Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard:
After watching this trailer, the game looks promising and reminds me a lot of Doom, Wolfenstein 3D and Duke Nukem.
Matt Hazard was released for the Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 on February 27, 2009.

Guitar Hero Metallica Trailer
March 11th, 2009 by Sean
Ride the Lightning and join Metallica, the greatest metal band of all time, and musicians selected by the band including Alice In Chains, Foo Fighters and Queen in an all new Guitar Hero experience:
Guitar Hero Metallica’s set list is comprised of over 45 explosive metal and rock hits from Metallica and other legendary artists that are performed in venues reminiscent of the bands epic album covers, themes from their music and real world locales.
I’ve already pre-ordered my copy for Xbox 360 and will have it in hand on March 29, which is just about 2 weeks away now. I can’t wait to play this version of Guitar Hero.
Looking over the Guitar Hero Metallica pre-order box I was given to exchange out for the real deal on March 29, this release of Guitar Hero will consist mostly of songs from the band’s first five albums, with only eleven post-1991 tracks appearing. I’m totally ok with that. Early Metallica is some of the best music from the band in my humble opinion.
Trailer for Metal Gear Solid Touch
March 7th, 2009 by Sean
Konami has issued a trailer for Metal Gear Solid Touch, its iPhone translation of Metal Gear Solid 4, demonstrating the game’s decidedly different gameplay.
It’s no surprise that the game doesn’t look as sharp as its PlayStation 3 counterpart.
I do find it interested that iPod Touch appears to have more in common with the many light-gun ports now appearing on the Apple iPhone App Store.
