NES Final Fantasy Complete In Box

This is an amazing find. Final Fantasy for the Nintendo NES complete in the box (CIB). All the maps, instruction manual, warranty card and even the little foam insert are inside the box.

Here is the front of the box:

I’ve owned the Final Fantasy game cartridge since I was a little kid, however I didn’t have the box and all the other goodies it originally came with… until now :)

My current copy of the game is in really nice shape, but the one inside this box is mint perfect. I’ve never seen a label so shiny before in a used game and I have some really clean games.

If you recall, Final Fantasy is listed in my Top 10 NES games. I really enjoy this game.

Granted, the graphics are nothing compared to modern RPG’s but Final Fantasy is the game that started it all and besides, I like the classics and if you’re reading this post, so do you.

I’ll post more pictures showing the maps, the minty fresh label, even the foam insert in the coming days.

I plan on doing a full review of the game, I just need to brush up on the game a little bit first.

    Great find.

I wish they would make a new version of this one THAT DIDN’T CHANGE EVERYTHING, like the graphics and sound! Ugh the new stuff drives me crazy. All I ask is to be able to buy as many potions at a time as I want. Trying to buy 99 potions makes this one basically unplayable now. But I had a lot of patience as a kid and finally beat this thing when I was about 16.

I played the hell out of this back when I was–damn–was it 1987? Anyway, circa 16-years old or so, I was obsessed with beating this game with all sorts of combinations of characters. The most obvious was Fighter, Thief/Black Belt, White Mage, Black Mage. But what about a non-Fighter lineup? Or having an all Magic-using group led by Red Mage? Back then I had a lot more free time, and sadly, I’m not sure I could really ever play though this original again, when there are so many other awesome RPGs out there.
