Hey Modern Classic Gaming readers, the time has come to announce the winner of our Sega Trivia Contest with the chance to win a Sega Dreamcast bundle.
We had over 600 entries from all around the world. In the beginning, we figured maybe 50-100 entries total would come in but this was just an amazing turnout!
First we would like to thank everyone from around the world who submitted their entries into our contest. We appreciate your support.
Second, we would like to thank Sega Nerds for helping spread the word about our contest.
Ok and now… drum roll please… Ladies and Gents, our first Modern Classic Gaming contest winner is… “Vic” from Southern California, USA.
Earlier this morning we contacted Vic about winning our Sega Trivia contest and he sent us the below picture:

WHOOOOOOOO
Thank you modernclassicgaming.com! **tears** T_T I would love to thank the academy !Yuji Naka!, Yokoi Gunpei and Masato Megawa! for inspiring me to learn such things, and last but not least, Recycled Gaming for my retro gaming fix! and the chance to win this awesome prize!
I am ready to lace into some Shenmue 2 (pal) and jet grind radio baby!!
Very cool. I like how in the picture Vic has the site showing on his screen in the background.
I do have one question… how on Earth did you ever get through 600+ entries?
Congrats to the winner. He seems like a happy fellow, especially after looking at his photo and reading his comment.
I was hoping to win but better luck next time I suppose. I am however extra excited to hear about the news of a Nintendo contest coming soon.
@BitMaster: You Sir are something else with your comments
@Billy The Kid: I liked how he had the site in the picture too. Very supportive indeed.
As to how we picked the winner… originally we were going to print out the entries and put them in a box and pull a winner, check the answers and if correct, they would win…
Well after we received over 100 entries in the first couple of days, I figured that would be a huge waste of paper, so I wrote a script to pull an email from the entries at random, then we could check the answers, if correct, winner, if not, remove that email and pull another. It took 16 pulls to get a winner.
@Stacy: Indeed, Vic aka BitMaster does seem like a happy guy and he should be extra happy now with his Dreamcast stuff coming his way.
The Nintendo prize package is pretty awesome, so do check back over the next couple of days for more information. For now I’m personally taking a couple of days to relax and recover from Thanksgiving (and a nasty cold).
